Albert Ehrenzweig sen. was Privatdozent (ao. Prof.) for Zivilgerichtliches Verfahren und Versicherungsrecht at the Law School of the University of Vienna.
He was persecuted in times of Nazism as a Jew lost his position and was thrown out of the university on April 8th, 1938. He was able to emigrate to the USA. He returned to Austria in 1949.
